My husband installed this in the back of his box truck. He said it was very easy to install. We love the fact that it has covers on each side to prevent moisture and dust from getting into it. It's great to have the extra charge capability. Great product. Highly recommended!
The usb power outlet is awesome to have in the car to add extra power ports. I watched a youtube video for the install - simply attach the ground and plug into the fuse box. Use the provided screws to attach to the dash. I like that the ports have a cover for protection when not in use. Great product!
I got this Auxiliary Dual 12 Volt Power Outlet for a review. We needed extra outlets for our ski boat and these will wire right in the area we need them . Will be easy to mount.
I got the EverStart Auxiliary Dual 12 Volt Power Outlet and mounted it to our golf cart. So for when we're out away from electricity and need to charge something. We go camping a lot. And can use this for cellphones and a nebulizer mostly. The caps included are good to keep out dirt and moisture. It can be a lifesaver in some situations. Definitely a handy item to have.
I've used these aux plugs for over 2 years now in my flat bottom boat. I kee a boat cover on it year around but we did 200+ days a year so the Dual Aux plug sees all kids of weather from spring rain to summer heat and storms to winter snow. And the dual aux plug never misses a beat. Mounts easy almost anywhere and holds the usb insert pretty good as long as you don't use a cheap one. I'm going to put another one at the bow of the boat near the trolling motor. The rubber caps are a bonus to kee everything out of the weather.
I do a lot of my work on the go so it's imperative I have a good charging outlet for my devices. Having a double outlet is much nicer than a single - I can plug up multiple devices at once without having to stop and work on one project then switch to another. I'm not great at installing so I had just a small amount of trouble with that.
We received the everstart 12 volt dual power outlet. We did need the capacity to run more then 1 thing at a time. We did like that it has a cover that does keep dust n dirt out. Also moisture too. We have used this in different situations and it works very well. We use it mostly to charge cell phones and husbands spotlight. Its really handy as we can do both at the same time We considered the one outlet one but decided that 2 are better then one and we were right. I recommend this to everyone who is in need of more outlets. Seems we never have enough. It seems to be very durable and well made. Comes with all that is needed to get it going. Everstart has always been a trusted name with us as we use many of their products. Can be used in a vehicle or boat or anwhere you have 12 volts. Great handy item
I decided to use this on our boat. We needed a power outlet to keep our mini fridge working for hot summer days. I thought it was going to be a hard install but my husband had it installed in less than 30 minutes. The wires connected easily and the outlets work great. For us, we use one port to run the mini fridge and the second port to charge our phones, tablets etc. This 12 volt power outlet is perfect for a boat, vehicle, camper etc. Both ports have dust covers that keep out the dust and water. We haven't had any problems using it and may buy more to use in our rv. If you need extra 12 volt ports... but this one!
I'm going to confess that I know next to nothing about electricity and wires and all that stuff, I just want it to work when I need it. So, I asked my brother, who is electrical savvy, to do the actual installation. As far as that goes he said it was fairly easy to do, though I will note that there were no instructions on the packaging so it helps if you already know what you are doing or get a little help like I did. The double outlet is not exactly plug-and-play so it does take some time and a little work for prep and to do the actual wiring. The outlet seems to be made of fairly sturdy materials. It's plain black in color so I can't exactly say it's pretty but it is functional and the double outlet is pretty handy for two devices or if you have a second person with you in the car. So far it's been in use pretty much every day over the last couple of weeks give or take. We've been out camping so it's been used mostly for cell phone charging and the like. We've plugged in an iPhone 6s and a Samsung Galaxy S9 and it's done the job just fine. Overall I'm pretty happy with the EverStart auxiliary dual outlet so far...
This product has terrible directions. The only thing it says is to connect blue to blue and red to red wire. I couldn't get it connected, I tried watching YouTube videos, but still couldn't figure it out. I am not an electrician or mechanic. This product not an easy plug and go type thing.
